Today is also National Swiss Wine Growers Day.  So I just wanted to give those hard working men and women a shout out for being involved with food production.

I wasn’t sure how to celebrate this holiday at first, but thanks to my friend Michael I had the perfect dinner filled with herbs and hopefully low in sodium.  We went out for his birthday in DC and ate at a cool innovative restaurant called Vapianos.  We had dishes filled with pestoes, brushettas, and herbs.  They had an additional bowl of herbs to add to your meal, as well as an herb infused oil to add to your meal.  My day was filled with just a little more herbs than usual.
